When the old Sahara closed, the Stratosphere filled the tournament void, emulating the Sahara’s tournament structure and vibe. Notably, the 11pm event was the latest scheduled tournament on The Strip every night, frequently attracting a colorful crowd. Their budget-friendly dailies were popular with locals and tourists alike. The merry-go-round of the last few years first saw the closure of the Sahara. Poker offerings on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip seem to follow a cyclic pattern, particularly for the daily tournaments. Both tournaments will follow the same structure, with a $140 buy-in and $3k guaranteed prize pool.
Resorts World announced via Poker Atlas that they will be offering two tournaments daily at 12:05pm and 7:05pm. The daily poker tournament scene in Las Vegas will add another venue starting Saturday, August 21st.
